IT Procurement Lead - Digital Transformation
Job Description
Role description: The role is responsible for business partnering procurement function under the wider Supply Chain IT organization. This includes conceptualizing, driving and implementing digital transformation initiatives in the area of procurement. The candidate will work with a team of professionals, collaborate with various departments, and ensure the effective utilization of IT technologies to drive efficiency, innovation, and growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with the procurement teams to manage end-to-end digital portfolio and all IT applications for the procurement function.
- Bring thought leadership to translate objectives into digital strategy and roadmap for procurement function. Owns short- and long-term roadmaps for the sub-platform with a clearly defined migration path.
- Conceptualize, design, and deliver IT systems as per strategy.
- End-to-end accountability for service continuity, quality, resilience, and end-user NPS.
- Ensure all applications are designed using ‘secure by design’ principles by working collaboratively with cyber security team.
- Manage and control the project and support budgets with a specific focus on continuous review and optimization of the TCO.
- Develop a high-performing team - envisage and hire/nurture right team to deliver the ambition.
Key stakeholders:
- Business Executives: Supply Chain and Procurement business leadership and their teams.
- IT teams: Product Managers and delivery leads from IT horizontal teams within SAP, data and analytics etc.
Skills required:
• Technical Skills:
- Experience of leading atleast one E2E implementation of Procure to Pay solutions – either of Ariba, Coupa, SAP CLM etc
- Hands-on experience with on premise and cloud solutions configuration and implementation. Experience in design and deployment of Digital Supply Chain / Procurement solutions.
- Extensive technical knowledge to help decide on escalated troubleshooting issues across domains.
• Functional Skills
- Deep understanding and experience of procurement processes – Sourcing, Contracting, Buying, Cost Modelling
- Experience across a range of companies with a strong consumer focus, combined with an outstanding communication and leadership skills, particularly strong in liaising between business and technology organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Business acumen to translate technical concepts into actionable insights.
- Project management expertise to deliver results on time and within budget.
- Understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
Job Location: New Delhi, India
Qualification: B.Tech. (MBA added advantage)
Years of Experience: 12+ (8+ years of MBA from Tier 1 college)
Reporting To: AVP, IT Supply Chain
